HCM becomes HXM, Human Experience Management

This next evolution moves from putting the organization’s needs at the center of HR...to putting the employee’s experience at the center. It moves from data and process workflows…to designing employee journeys. From facilitating transactions to truly re-inventing employee experiences in ways that accelerate business growth.

At the foundation of HXM are the Operational O-Data transactions that are mission critical! These must work in order for an organization to operate. From sourcing talent to paying employees to analyzing talent data, these O Data elements remain in tact. They do not go away. With that said, this is where the traditional HCM platform stops.

HXM goes far beyond the HCM foundation. At the center is our people – Individuals, Teams and Organizations. HXM is about enabling outcomes at all 3 levels. Not just an individual experience. It’s about helping teams to work at peak performance and organizations to achieve their goals.

Next, these experiences transcend traditional module boundaries. They flow in a way that is intuitive for the employee, adds value to their work, and inspires them. After all learning, for example, is about much more than an learning solution – it’s about coaching and feedback and performance goals and development plan and even mentoring. People experiences also transcend beyond HR. They can include capabilities across the Intelligent Enterprise such as ordering supplies, booking travel, or completing an expense report.

We then add the first experience suite. These technology elements supercharge the experience. On the one hand, we have quick hits which help you get work done. This includes Conversational AI so you can simply ask a question and get an answer, RPA (robotic process automation) which removes frustrating non-value tasks, and Machine Learning nudges and recommendations to surface curated content and contextual guidance specific to you and your decisions and actions.

And on the other hand, we have enablers which connect to hearts and minds. They give employees a voice with feedback and listening. They provide connections to content and via collaboration. This could be collaboration materials to help us to perform our job or content to share amongst individuals or teams. And communities and connections provide the opportunity to expand networks, reach out to others, build community and join in shared purpose and culture.

These enablers are natively embedded into the solution suite to drive the right people actions and decisions and to ensure more personalized experiences.
